Set of five luncheon knives with carbon steel blades, cast nickel ferrules and horn handles. A little difficult to precisely date them as they are marked only ‘Paris’ but the ferrule design suggests around 1920.
These have not been sharpened in much, they have seen a little rust and the horn shows wear from washing and has some small bug bites on some, but otherwise they are very solid.
Carbon steel table knives like these are fussier to use as they can rust or impart flavors but cut for a good long time, especially meat.
