Beetle Saucer

Paris-based atelier Astier de Villatte is renowned for their whimsical ceramics that are handmade with traditional techniques. Nature’s essential artisans, insects are symbolic of tenacity, patience, and detachment. Seemingly unaware of their importance, they go about their tasks in nature. The Beetle Saucer features a critter design created by John Derian using his signature decoupage techniques. Each ceramic piece is made by Astier de Villatte in an antique Bastille workshop, employing a traditional pottery style passed down from generations.
