Gustav Emil Ern chef knife with hand forged after drop forged and hand ground with compression riveted walnut or ‘ebonized’ fruitwood handle.
This knife had a little bit of wear, some dings where it looks the tip was straightened and a few pits but is otherwise barely sharpened in, something very uncommon for an 8″ chef knife, typically these arrive heavily used, when they do show up which is far less common than larger 10 or 12″ knives.
A great example of a classic 1960s era Solingen chef knife, hard to find in this favored size.
