Are your taps suitable for use in a commercial setting?
– All the taps we sell are designed for use in a domestic setting only, either indoor or outdoor. They are not sold as suitable for commercial premises.

Can I buy a pair of these taps?
-Yes, for a pair please order from Vintage Style Brass Taps Copper Taps

I would like to buy more than the number of taps listed as available. Do you have any more than the listing shows?
-Yes we do. We limit the number of taps on each listing in order to keep to our dispatch times but we do have at least 6 of each style of tap ready to make. Please contact us if you want to buy more than the number available and we will increase the listing.

If the tap is unsuitable, can I return it for a refund?
-We do accept returns, however, these are made to order and are not a stock item so, as a small business we would ask that you measure carefully and ask any questions before buying to be sure you are ordering the right tap for you and to allow us to keep losses and therefore prices to a minimum.

The measurements available are not suitable for me, can the tap be made any taller?

Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper Sinks and Taps section here of our website shop where you will find over 20 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.

What size is this tap?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.

What size is the water inlet pipework?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.

Can this be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, this tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. This is designed to fit onto a countertop. This is fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter from above using the screws provided. This not not fitted using a back nut.

Is this tap suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks as it has a water inlet pipe which is a 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.

Can this be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?
-Yes, all our taps can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use your taps as outdoor taps?
-Yes, all the taps we make are suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect this to my water inlet?
– This is sold as complete tap fitting which has the standard UK 15mm copper pipe attached below the counter where it is fitted. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.

Can your taps be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top?
– We would not recommend our taps for this type of worktop as they are fitted and secured from above with screws into the surface not from a back nut underneath and these type of countertops may not take the small drill holes required. We would only recommend our taps for wooden and laminate surfaces. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of counters but this is still in the design stage.

How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
– Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 working days. If your order is urgent – please contact us through our live chat option rather than email – this guarantees an immediate response and ensures we have seen your message straight away. We can often post these earlier depending on our order book. All our taps are posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 if urgent.

-Yes it is. As we spend several months of the year in France the quickest way to contact us is usually via live chat where you will be spoken to by Louise or Martin not a chat bot.
